Team research theme:

We are interested in Mendelian disorders associated with enhanced type I interferon signalling – the type I interferonopathies. These rare diseases frequently demonstrate involvement of the brain with devastating effects. The study of the type I interferonopathies provides a biological compass by which to explore the importance of type I interferon signalling in neurological health, with relevance not only to rare Mendelian disease, but also viral infection and neurodegeneration.

Mendelian genetics; molecular and cellular biology; iPSCs and organoids.
