Download the tutorial explaining how to use the platform to submit an application for the Call for Equipment 2023-2024.

The DIM C-BRAINS coordinates the selection of scientific equipment projects from the Ile-de-France community around 3 priority axes in the field of neuroscience and cognitive science, both in human and animal populations.

Priority axis 1: Genomics, human cells, reprogramming and neuro-organoids

Priority axis 2: quantitative approaches to exploring behavior and cognition

Priority axis 3: Neural networks, modeling and artificial intelligence

Structuring project: Organoids and human cells

Structuring project: Human and animal cognition in real and virtual environments

Some information from the downloadable information guide:

The research topics covered by this call for projects must:

  • Be in one of the three priority axes guiding the actions of C-BRAINS, in which case the application will be in the generic category. Any researcher affiliated to the scientific perimeter of the C-BRAINS DIM can submit an application in the generic category

OR

  • Be associated with one of the two structuring projects. Researchers interested in joining these initiatives should contact the Steering Committee of the project concerned. Only one application per structuring project should be submitted by the Steering Committee, including all the applications from the sites involved in the project, in order to ensure that the application is consistent with the strategic orientations and choices envisaged. No applications other than those submitted by the Steering Committee will be accepted in the structuring project category.

As part of this call for projects, the DIM C-BRAINS has a total budget of €2m for equipment, to be divided between the three categories.

  • The total cost (excluding taxes) of the projects submitted must be between a minimum of €50k and a maximum of €3M for the Generic category. A minimum of €30k will be considered for equipment applications submitted by Structuring Projects.
  • However, the maximum grant allocated by DIM C-BRAINS per project will not exceed €450k.
  • The rate of contribution (cad % of contribution) must be less than or equal to a maximum of 66% of the total cost (excluding taxes) of the equipment(s) applied for (Île-de-France Region rule).

Selection calendar:

  • Applications from 2 November 2023 to 26 January 2024, midnight
  • Evaluation by the Scientific Council on 13 and 14 March 2024
  • Administrative Board meeting in early June 2024
  • Announcement of results after validation by the DIM C-BRAINS Administrative Board

Call for Scientific Events 2023/2024
Call for Scientific Events 2023/2024

The DIM C-BRAINS aims to boost the attractiveness and visibility of neuroscience and cognitive science in the Paris Region. In this context, C-BRAINS contributes each year to the funding of Scientific Events (SE) focusing on its priority themes. For the 2023-2024 Call for Projects, the events must take place in the Île-de-France region before 31 December 2024 and involve at least two academic teams and/or C-BRAINS partners (associations and/or industry). The SE project may take the form of conferences, symposia, research or training workshops, hackathons or any other innovative form.

The budget allocated by the DIM C-BRAINS will be between €5,000 and €15,000 maximum. However, co-funding is strongly encouraged.

The proposal must be completed online on the DIM C-BRAINS platform before 26 January 2024.
