Axe 2 : Approches quantitatives à l'exploration du comportement et de la cognition
Behavioral, electrophysiological (in vivo and ex vivo), pharmacological and molecular (Immunohistochemistry, virus) techniques in rats.
The identification of neural networks and mechanisms underlying associative emotional memory and its updating, with a focus on the temporal component that controls expectancy/anticipation behaviors and is fundamental to error detection and learning. The study of a large network of interconnected structures including the amygdala, hippocampus, prefrontal cortex and striatum, a functional network involved in integrative functions such as memory and temporal estimation, involving both working and long-term memory, and their distortion by emotion, whether positive or negative. The neural correlates of temporal processing at different stages of learning, and the impact of network disruption on temporal processing and emotional memory, at different stages from post-natal to adult development.
