In 2024, the Académie des Sciences will award the Grand Prix Sicard - Académie des Sciences in the field of neurology.

• The Grand Prix Sicard - Académie des Sciences will be awarded for 100,000 euros. This prize will honour and reward a French researcher and help to finance his or her research. A prize of €15,000 will be awarded to the winner and the remaining €85,000 to the team for the operating costs, investment or salary (postdoc) required to carry out the work.

This year, the annual prize will focus on the biology of neural networks.

It will cover approaches that study the establishment and functioning of neuronal and glial ensembles, from both the normal and pathological points of view, focusing on molecular and cellular aspects and their modelling.
