[Training] Registration is now open for the course "All-Optical Control of Brain Functioning with Optogenetics and Multi-Photon Microscopy."
Registrations are now open for the 8th annual training course, "All-Optical Control of Brain Functioning with Optogenetics and Multi-Photon Microscopy."
📅 Dates: March 9–18, 2026
📍 Location: Vision Institute, 17, rue Moreau 75012 Paris, France
This immersive course is designed for researchers interested in all-optical neuronal manipulation. Participants will learn to select optimal combinations of actuators, sensors, illumination methods, and targeting strategies for specific applications, while gaining hands-on experience in building optical systems for neuronal circuit control.
The program features leading experts presenting state-of-the-art techniques in:
- Holographic light shaping
- Temporal focusing
- 1P/2P optogenetics
- 1/2P voltage imaging
- 2P mini-scopes, fiber-based endoscopy
- 3P microscopy
- Genetic tools, viral expression strategies, and high-throughput connectivity mapping
