Engineer position available in iPSC culture, Function of NOTCH3 in human neurogenesis
An Engineer position (« Assistant engineer » -AI- or « Study Engineer » -IE-) is available for 12 months starting on Jan. 1st, 2024 in the team “Zebrafish Neurogenetics” at Institut Pasteur, within the frame of a research project funded by the Foundation for Medical Research (FRM).
Missions
The recruited person will directly participate in a research project aiming to understand the biology of neural progenitors and the role of the NOTCH3 receptor in 3D models generated from human iPSCs. She/he will develop or apply various techniques of cell biology, cell culture and generation of cerebral organoids and spinal embryoid bodies, lineage tracing in vitro, analyses of gene expression in situ, and photonic and confocal microscopy.
Required expertise
General knowledge in biology including solid previous expertise in cell culture; basic knowledge in statistics ; expertise with standard cell and molecular biology techniques and associated equipment ; knowledge of standard office and biology softwares (microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite…). Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is absolutely required.
