Glial plasticity and neuro-oncology (GPNO)
IBPS Neuroscience
Axe 1 : Génomique, cellules humaines, reprogrammation et neuro-organoïdes
Team research topics:
The team investigates the dynamics of functional heterogeneity in tumor cells and its impact on brain tumor growth. We are particularly interested in the plasticity of glioblastoma cells, i.e. their ability to adapt their function to changes in the microenvironment and to therapies, a source of the aggressiveness of this devastating brain tumor. In particular, we aim to identify the metabolic modules underlying the plasticity of glioblastoma cells within patient tumors, with the ultimate goal of designing new therapies.
Main techniques used:
Our approaches combine “wet” experimental biology (e.g. cell biology, molecular biology, metabolic assays, biochemistry) with computational analyses of scRNA-seq derived from the patients’ tumors. We use in vitro and in vivo models based on patient-derive.
