Brain-C lab : Brain Compensation Dynamics in Neurodegenerative Diseases
NeuroSU

Axe 1 : Génomique, cellules humaines, reprogrammation et neuro-organoïdes

Axe 3 : Réseaux neuronaux, modélisation et intelligence artificielle
machine learning, cell biology and preclinical/clinical research
Team research topics:
Our goal is to understand how the capacity of the brain circuits to maintain function and resist neurodegenerative insults is maintained on intra- and inter-cellular levels, how these protective mechanisms may eventually fail to counteract neurodegenerative disease processes, and how they may be re-instated for therapeutic purposes. We study these questions in Huntington's disease (HD), a well-characterized neurodegenerative disease, transferring concepts and knowledge to other diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and ALS
