Understanding of normal brain aging and the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases.

The Neurology - NeuroPharmacology Team consists mainly of physicians and pharmacists who aim to improve the understanding of normal brain aging and the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases.In clew of that, we aim to develop new imaging biomarkers based on the use of new multi-modal Neuro Imaging tools. These tools are implemented during clinical research protocols.For that we collaborate closely with the methodological experts of the Frédéric Joliot Institute and the Teams of specialized clinicians of the Parisian hospitals.We are particularly interested in anatomical changes, connectivity and tissues microstructure involvement in cortical dementia including Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis
